5 killed in rain-related accidents in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) — At least five people have been killed and 11 others injured in recent rain-triggered accidents and floods in Pakistan, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) reported Tuesday.
This brought the total death toll to 220 from such accidents so far in the monsoon season starting from July, while 416 have suffered injuries, the NDMA said in a report.
Among the dead, 109 were children and 33 were women. ■
